About the Authors

John Matthews is an independent scholar with over a hundred published works on myth, folklore, and ancient traditions. He has worked as an historical advisor in the film industry and won a BAFTA for his work on the movie King Arthur. Mark Ryan, an accomplished actor and author, originated the character of Nasir in the TV series Robin of Sherwood and has voiced characters in the Transformers movies. Together with John Matthews, he created The Wildwood Tarot. Anne Yvonne Gilbert is a renowned artist whose work spans children's books, postage stamps, and album covers. Her detailed illustrations are held in private collections worldwide.
